N.I.A.

Terms

These terms apply to your use of N.I.A. at nia.lucaintini.ai. Plain English. Important parts in bold on purpose.

What N.I.A. is not

The AI may be wrong

N.I.A. uses AI (currently OpenAI, with your own API key) to help classify, place, and evaluate things. AI makes mistakes. You are responsible for reviewing AI suggestions before acting on them. N.I.A. does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or appropriateness of any AI output.

Your OpenAI key and your bill

You bring your own OpenAI API key. N.I.A. does not pay your OpenAI bill. Every AI call N.I.A. makes on your behalf consumes tokens that OpenAI bills to your account.

ChatGPT subscriptions do not pay for API usage in N.I.A. Even if you pay for ChatGPT Plus, Pro, or Team, that subscription does not cover OpenAI API calls made from N.I.A.. To use OpenAI inside N.I.A., you need an OpenAI API key, and OpenAI may bill API usage to your OpenAI account.

You are responsible for: paying OpenAI for usage on your key; keeping the key safe; setting daily and monthly caps inside N.I.A. if you want spend limits; and rotating or deleting the key at any time. We strongly recommend setting a cap.

Third-party AI providers

N.I.A. currently supports OpenAI and may add other providers (e.g., Google Gemini) in the future. N.I.A. is not responsible for any third-party provider's billing, policy changes, content processing, retention, or service availability. If a future provider offers a free tier, free-tier use may involve your prompts, responses, or related content being processed by that provider and potentially used to improve their products, depending on the provider's then-current terms. The privacy tradeoff will be disclosed in the app, and you will have to explicitly acknowledge it before enabling free-tier mode for that provider.

Your data

See our privacy page. You can delete your account and all your data at any time, in one place.

Read-only calendar access

N.I.A. only ever reads your Google Calendar. We never write to it, modify events, decline invitations, send replies on your behalf, or move events. If you classify or hide something inside N.I.A., that change is local to your N.I.A. view. Your colleagues' view of Google Calendar is unaffected.

No emergency monitoring

N.I.A. does not monitor your messages, check-ins, or status in real time, and does not contact emergency services on your behalf. If you need urgent help, please go to our safety page or call your local emergency number.

Acceptable use

Don't use N.I.A. to harm yourself or others. Don't use it to harass another person, including via the Write But Don't Send feature. Don't try to break it, abuse it, or extract other users' data.

Limitation of liability

N.I.A. is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of, or inability to use, N.I.A.. Where law does not permit limitation, the operator's total liability is limited to the amount you paid the operator in the 12 months preceding the claim — which, for the current free phase, is zero.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be posted here with a new revision date. Continued use after changes means you accept them. If you don't, stop using N.I.A. and delete your account.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Italian law. Disputes go to the courts of Italy.
